Information processed by the game
Gameplay and saved progress. The game stores preferences, progress, scores, selected items, and game history on your device. If you use online play or cloud save features, the game sends the information needed to provide those features, such as your player name, game state, and saved progress, to our game servers.
Game account. The game can create a pseudonymous account identifier and a secret credential to protect and sync your save. These credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. Our server stores a protected credential hash with the associated save data. You can optionally link an email address to register or restore an account; we process the email address, password verifier, and temporary verification codes for that purpose. Passwords are not stored in plaintext.
Online features. When you join a multiplayer room, your chosen player name, appearance, and live game actions are transmitted to the server and shared with other players in that room. Referral features process invite codes and a pseudonymous installation value to prevent duplicate rewards. If you submit a video link for an in-game reward review, the link and associated game account are processed for that review.
Recordings. Gameplay recordings are created on your device using Apple system features. They remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them. If you submit a video link through an in-game reward feature, that link is sent to our server for review.
Advertising and tracking choices
tag snake uses Google Mobile Ads to provide rewarded advertisements and Google’s User Messaging Platform to manage applicable privacy choices. Advertising partners may process device information, advertising identifiers, and ad interaction or diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable requirements. Where required, iOS presents the App Tracking Transparency permission request. If you deny permission, the app can continue to request ads, but the device advertising identifier is not made available to Google Mobile Ads for that request.
You can manage applicable advertising privacy choices through the in-game advertising privacy options when that control is available, and you can change tracking permission in iOS Settings. Google’s handling of information is also governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
How information is used
- Provide gameplay, online rooms, account recovery, and save synchronization.
- Deliver and review optional referral and video reward features.
- Show and measure advertisements according to your choices and applicable law.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and respond to support requests.
Sharing and service providers
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the game, including game hosting, email delivery, and advertising services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service, or our rights. We do not sell personal information for money.
Retention and security
Game data is retained while needed to provide the features you use, maintain account records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Local game data can be removed by deleting the app. To request deletion of server-side account information, contact us from the email address linked to your account when possible and identify the account you want deleted. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children and privacy rights
tag snake is not designed to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Contact us to make a privacy request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
